The History of Lone Star
An avid outdoorsmen and master chef in his free time, Lonestar Western Beef’s founder and President, John Bachman, was persistently encouraged by numerous friends and family to turn his dabbling in the creation of venison jerky into a business that would allow the public to enjoy his amazing jerky. After retiring from the Air Force, John decided to follow the persuasions of his friends and family and his dream of owning his own company by forming Lone Star Western Beef Inc. Along with his burning desire to own his own company he wanted to offer the public a beef jerky product free of any preservatives that even the most health conscious could enjoy. 
With those goals he mind he started producing the highest quality beef jerky available in 1996 with absolutely zero preservatives and packed with protein and a flavor profile that goes on for days. In 1996 at a small manufacturing plant in Fairmont, WV the vision came to life, with only himself and two other employees they quickly converted the old manufacturing plant into a premier facility that produces only the highest quality beef jerky using the best ingredients. John’s commitment to quality combined with his unique background has resulted in a product worthy of the Lone Star label. After 13 strong years John and his team continue to flourish with the help of the many beef jerky connoisseurs and hope to continue the tradition by expanding into new markets.
